Since the Moomin series was born by Tove Jansson, a writer representing Northern Europe Finland.

Tove wrote for six years, and his younger brother Lars took over for 15 years. Not only the Moomin series but also picture books, novels for adults, paintings, and many other works have been produced one after another. Tove has received many awards, including the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
